Unafraid of the Storm: Letter To My Sista

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stormy weather...

Tears are running down my face
As I read your letter
Through your words
I see spirits popping
Like dry poppy seeds
Blooming into sunflowers
I shake my head
Because...
Hmmm!
You are my kind of sista

The storm came
And it gave birth to pain
The storm came
But you are carrying the blame?
O I shake my head again
Hmm!
You are my kind of sista

I see a shadow of you
She's unafraid of this stormy weather
I see a shadow of you
She is dancing in the windy weather
She is not afraid of this nasty rain!
So take off that painful sweater
'Cause over there
I see the real you laughing --
Youre dancing
In that Orchid garden
Again...
In the spirit,
Hmm!
You are my kind of sista

Don't fret. Sit near me.
Let me pull up the weeds
Let me pull up the thorns
Let me pull up the strength
Lean on me sista!
We will win!
You are my kind of sista

Sis, your message inspired this poem.
My heart bleeds for everything you had to go through.
Life is molding us to win. I promise sista, we will win.

Love ya!
