You know, some things in life just astound me.
Like how much evil can lie in humanity.
Men infiltrating minds and bodies.
Taking what they want with so much ease.
Perpetrators
Violators
Victim makers
Innocence takers.
If you could see on my face the look of disgust
You'd realise there are still men in this world you can trust.
But it’s ok.
I know you say
The only thing in life now is mistrust.
Can you ever heal to have your own thoughts of lust?
When contact comes across as so violent
All because of some damn tyrant.
Future love affected,
Your soul dejected.
As a man, I'm trying to understand what this has done to you.
I want you to know that I am true.
It matters to me.
I want you to see,
That not all men are about abuse,
Or just seeing you as a body to use.
I've got time to wait while you heal,
But if you need help, know I feel
The same anger and hate
At these fuckers who rape.
Remember its not you who should be having the guilt trip
No matter what anyone says, don't carry a chip.
Whatever blame, anyone puts your way,
Know it’s your right to send that away.
It’s hard to write such graphics with my pen,
But remember it was him, who forced your legs open,
Whether through violent action
Or mental intimidation.
Nothing you could do in the world to stop it,
So let it go now, its time to drop it.
Don't let the pain in your soul own you.
He's gone now. Don't let him control you.
Love yourself like no other
You are your best friend and lover.
No time to punish yourself,
its time to love your own wealth
Lying deep in your soul.
Your innocence that you think he stole
Is still there. It wasn't his to take.
He violated your body; don't let your heart break
from a body thief. And anyone making you feel bad,
…Don't let them make you sad
Cos they're caught up in life’s bullshit.
They're as guilty as the man that hit.
If they're giving you any blame,
You know in your heart that's lame.
So rise above any social stigmas
And know my heart is standing tall with ya.
I wanna show you as a friend
You can... trust men again.
